Beleaguered businessman Vijay Mallya has been granted bail The Westminster Court within three hours of being arrested by Scotland Yard in London (UK). He was arrested in connection with a fraud case.
Notably, Mallya fled India in March 2016.
According to sources, following the request of India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED), Mallya was arrested in London. India had given a formal extradition request for Mallya as per the Extradition Treaty between India and the UK through a note verbale on 8 February.
