In South Africa, at least 19 children were killed in a bus crash outside the capital Pretoria today. Emergency medical services spokesman said in Johannesburg today that the incident occurred when a minibus collided with a truck on a road between the towns of Bronkhorstspruit and Verena, about 70 kilometres from Pretoria.
He said 19 children and the bus driver also among the dead. Many children were trapped inside the bus and most of the fatalities were declared dead at the site of the accident.
