Raipur, May 15
Aiming to ensure more facilities to its customers, Syndicate Bank-an undertaking of Government of India, inaugurated its regional office in Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur on Monday.
The regional office is located at Pujari chamber in Raipur, informed Regional Head CM Thimmaih.
Currently, seven branches are operational in the state capital while 71 across Chhattisgarh and some part of Madhya Pradesh under this regional office, said Thimmaih, elaborating that opening of the regional office is going to enhance working capacity of the bank.
Notably, Syndicate Bank was established in 1925 in Udupi, Karnataka with capital of around Rs 8000. It was started by three visionaries a businessman Upendra Ananth Pai, an engineer Vaman Kudva and a physician Dr T M A Pai with the objective of social welfare.
