Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad said two types of 500 currency notes were issued to serve the purpose of the party and the government. Sharad Yadav of JD(U) displayed the photocopy of the notes and said one note is big and the other is small.

Leader of House and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley regretted that the country’s currency is being discussed during Zero Hour. He said it is the misuse of Zero Hour. He alleged that Congress is raising Points of Order every day.

Deputy Chairman P J Kurien asked the opposition to give notices to discuss the issue. He said the matter should not have been raised under point of order. Not satisfied, Congress members trooped into the well raising slogans and the House was adjourned for 15 minutes till 1143.
