Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Naseem Zaidi today announced the date for upcoming presidential election as the term of incumbent President Pranab Mukherjee is ending. As per information received, the election is going to be held on 17 July while the counting is scheduled to be held on July 20.
According to information, last date for making nominations- June 28, date for scrutiny of nominations- June 29, last date for withdrawal of candidature- July 1, date of poll- July 17, date of counting, (if required)- July 20, polling hours- 10 am-5 pm and counting time-11 am-till the counting is complete
