
Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that the government wants to take medical education and health facilities to remote areas of the country.
Speaking after inaugurating the new Dorji Khandu state convention centre in Arunachal Pradesh capital, Itanagar, Mr. Modi said government has taken steps to minimize the medical expenses. He said, about 800 medicines are now available at very cheap rates through Jan Aushadhi Kendras. Mr. Modi said the Ayushman Bharat Scheme will bring medical revolution in the country.
Prime Minister also dedicated to the nation Arunachal Pradesh civil secretariat building and laid the foundation stone of the academic block of the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Science.
Prime Minister said, in coming days Arunachal will be able to spread a new light of development in the country. The Prime Minister praised the people of the state for their patriotism.
Talking about the steps government is taking for the rural facilities, Mr Modi said, 22,000 selling-buying centres for farmers across the country will be opened.
Speaking on the ocassion, Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju said that people of Arunchal Pradesh are always ready to make sacrifices for the country. He said Arunachal Pradesh is developing at a fast pace under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu said, dynamics of north-eastern states have changed by the Prime Minister. Mr. Khandu said, Mr. Modi’s visit to the state is historic as no Prime Minister in the past visited Arunachal Pradesh twice within a period of three years.
