Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu has expressed confidence that BJP will come to power in Odisha in 2019. Mr. Naidu, who reached Bhubaneswar this morning to attend the BJP’s national executive meeting, said that the people of the country have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi government for its pro-poor schemes and policies. He said, the BJP’s base is growing in Odisha.
The two-day BJP national executive meeting at Janata Maidan in the capital city Bhubaneswar has begun with a preparatory meeting of top office-bearers, at the venue under the chairmanship of party president Amit Shah to finalise the agenda of the executive meeting.
Party sources said, BJP’s Mission 2019 will get its final shape at the conclave. They said, the meeting will also discuss to ensure that benefits of all the schemes and policies of the Central government reach to grassrool level. They said, top leadership is likely to give a call for pushing the party’s expansion in the new territories like Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Tripura, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 40 Union ministers, 13 chief ministers, several deputy chief ministers and 335 BJP working executive members including senior leader LK Advani will be attending the two-day meet. Party sources said Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at the Bhubaneswar this afternoon and will proceed to the Raj Bhavan before attending the national executive meet at Janata Maidan at 5.00 pm.
The state BJP has mobilized around one lakh people, at least 50 each from all the organizational units across the state, to greet Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he arrives at Bhubaneswar this afternoon.
