In Jammu and Kashmir a BSF jawan was martyred as Pakistan’s forces resorted to heavy mortar shelling and firing in Arnia sector along the International Border in Jammu district today.
BSF sources told media that the Pakistan Rangers started unprovoked firing and shelling on Indian positions and civilian areas in Arnia sector around 1 am today.
In the firing Constable Bijender Bahadur hailing from U.P. who was deployed at a forward post was injured seriously. The jawan succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital. BSF troops guarding the border retaliated the firing and gave a befitting reply.The intermittently exchange of fire was still on.
