As many as nine personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in a naxal attack took place in insurgency-hit Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, police said.
Ultras have exploded a Mine Protected Vehicle (MPV) carrying 11 jawans in a forest patch falling in limits of Kistaram police station, added police.
As per information received, a team of 212th battalion of CRPF undertaking patrolling task on Mine Protected Vehicle was targeted by Maoists. Nine troopers of CRPF were killed in the attack.
Two jawans were reported to be injured.
