
Indian Army has said that its troops were fired upon by unidentified insurgents along the Indo-Myanmar border in the wee hours today.
In a statement, Eastern Command of Indian Army said, the Indian troops reacted swiftly and resorted to heavy retaliatory fire on the insurgents. The insurgents fled from the spot.
As per inputs, a large number of casualties were suffered by the insurgents. However, there was no casualties to the Indian troops in the firefight. The Eastern Command said Indian troops did not cross the International Border.
