External Affairs Ministry has said, the Consulate General of India will provide assistance to the group of doctors reportedly stranded in Shenzhen in China once contacted.

Sources said, the doctors have not contacted it so far and the CGI is ascertaining details.

The doctors, who are on a tour to China, got stranded in Shenzhen. The Malad Medical Association arranges annual foreign tour for its doctor members and the requisite fee was paid to the tour operator which was not in turn paid to the Chinese tour agency.

Chinese tour operators have refused to facilitate their return to India until their entire tour fee is paid.
