Five security personnel killed in naxal blast

As many as five security personnel of the state police force were killed in a blast triggered by ultras in insurgency-hit Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh today, police said.

The blast took place between Cholnar-Kirandul falling in limits of Kirandul police station, added police.

A team of security personnel engaged in patrolling task was targeted by naxals by exploding the vehicle in which they were moving, police informed, adding that two troopers were injured in the incident.

According to information received, the ultras have snatched the firearms of security personnel.
