In the rainwater harvesting workshop, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel felicitated various nagar panchayats, municipal councils and municipal corporations of Chhattisgarh for excellent work at national level under Cleanliness Survey 2019.
Ambikapur Municipal Corporation has been selected as the second cleanest city at national-level under Cleanliness Mission. Chief Minister felicitated Mayor of Ambikapur Municipal Corporation Dr Ajay Tirkey, Speaker Mohammad Shafi Ahmad, Commissioner Manoj Singh, Nodal Office Ramesh Singh in the programme.
Likewise, Chief Minister felicitated Mayor of Bhilai Municipal Corporation Devendra Yadav, Speaker Shyam Sundarrao, Commissioner Sudesh Kumar Sundrani, nodal officer RK Sahu for selection of Bhilai Municipal Corporation as National Sanitation City.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel felicitated Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation Pramod Dubey, Speaker Prafulla Vishwakarma, Commissioner Shiv Anant Tayal, Nodal Officer Harendra Sahu, for selection of Raipur as Fastest Mover Big City at national-level in the category of cities with 10 lakh or more population.
Municipal Corporation Bhilai-Charauda has been selected as Cleanest City East Zone at national-level in the category of cities with population between 50 thousand and one lakh, while Vishrampur has been selected as the Second Cleanest City East Zone at national-level in the category of cities with population less than one lakh.
Chief Minister felicitated Mayor of Bhilai-Charauda Municipal Corporation Chandrakanta Mandle, Speaker Vijay Jain, Commissioner Chandan Sharma, Nodal Officer Mohanpuri Goswami for the achievement.
Baghel also felicitated Head of Municipal Council Vishrampur Rajesh Yadav, CMO Yufarisiya Ekka, Nodal office Nitish Gupta for holding second rank in the list.
Chief Minister also felicitated the Head of Municipal Council Jashpur Hiruram Nikunj, CMO Jitendra Kushwaha and Nodal Officer Vasundhara Bhagat for selection of Jashpur as the third Cleanest City East Zone at national-level in the category of cities with population less than one lakh.
