Armed ultras abduct Sub Inspector

Raipur, Mar 11

Armed ultras have reportedly abducted a Sub Inspector and a school teacher in Chhattisgarh’s naxal-hit Dantewada district, police said on Monday.

“Sub Inspector Lalit Kashyap and school teacher Jaisingh Kureti were missing since Sunday morning from sensitive village Rewali falling in limits of Aranpur police station,” said Dantewada Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Pallav.

As per information received, a group of armed naxals reported to have abducted the duo from Rewali where they went to consume alcohol, added the SP.

SP Pallav further informed that Kashyap is posted at village Sameli-based camp of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for smooth coordination between police and the force during anti-naxal exercise. Soon the information of abduction reached, CRPF launched an operation but they did not get information about the duo’s whereabouts.
