Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today countered the Congress attack on government over price rise, saying it has consistently come down since 2014 under the NDA rule.
Through a graphic shared on his twitter handle, Mr Jaitley said, Consumer Price Index was at 5.9 percent in 2014-15 which has decreased to 2.7 percent in October 2017-18.
He said, since the issue of price rise has been raised by some in the Congress Party, let the data on inflation figures speak for itself. The Minister said, unlike present regime, the CPI even crossed double digits during UPA rule.
