Nine coaches of Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express derail near Asangaon; Rescue operation underway

In Maharashtra, nine coaches of Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express derail near Asangaon.

Railway spokespersons Anil Saxena informed that eight AC coaches and the engine of Nagpur Mumbai Duronto Express, Train no 12290 derailed near Titwala station at 6:30 this morning. No reports of injuries or casualties have reported so far.

Rescue operations, currently underway, have been hampered due to incessant rains. The rescue team have rushed from Kalyan. Train traffic movement between Mumbai and Nagpur has been affected.
