A major success was achieved today in the extensive campaign against Naxalism in Bijapur district. Thirteen notorious hardcore Naxalites, carrying a combined bounty of ₹23 lakh, surrendered before security forces and pledged to return to the mainstream. Among these surrendered Naxalites, ten had rewards ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹8 lakh on their heads.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai tweeted that this significant surrender is direct evidence of the effectiveness of the state government’s “Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy – 2025” and the “Niyad Nella Naar Yojana”, through which an atmosphere of trust and a positive wave of change is being created in Naxal-affected areas.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that even Naxalites have now begun to realize that the path of the gun is not the right path; rather, it is the path of development that is the true choice for the future. The government is fully committed to the rehabilitation, skill development, and upliftment of all surrendered Naxalites so they can lead a life of dignity.

He added that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the state government is fully determined to achieve the complete eradication of Naxalism from Chhattisgarh and the entire country by March 2026.
