Technical Committee Formed to Prepare Necessary Suggestions and Guidelines Regarding HMPV

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has directed all states to create awareness regarding Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV). In the same sequence, a technical committee has been formed to keep a continuous vigil on the current/updated status regarding Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) infection in Chhattisgarh state.
This technical committee has been formed to prepare the necessary suggestions and guidelines regarding the prevention, protection, awareness, and future action plan of HMPV infection.
In this committee, Director, Epidemic Control, Dr. S.K. Pamboi is the chairman. The members include Deputy Director Dr. Khemraj Sonwani, Deputy Director Dr. Dharmendra Gahavai, State Advisor ISDP Smt. Akanksha Rana, and State Advisor ISDP Ms. Chayanika Nag. This technical committee will submit its report and opinion from time to time to the Health Department regarding HMPV in the state.
