Raipur, June 11
A new light of education is now spreading in the remote forest regions of Gariaband district. Villages that had been without teachers for years now have regular teacher appointments. Under the rationalization process initiated by the state government led by Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai, teachers have now been posted in all 16 previously teacher-less schools in the district.
This development brings major relief to children studying in schools located in remote villages such as Mauhanala, Bhimatikhra, Dhumrapadar, and Bharuvamuda in the blocks of Mainpur, Devbhog, Chhura, and Gariaband. Earlier, the absence of teachers in these schools left students deprived of education and caused concern among parents.
Through a counseling process, surplus teachers in the district were reassigned to schools that either had no teachers at all or were being run by just one teacher. Now, teachers are deployed in all the following schools: Primary School Aklwara, Dongripali Kandaghadi, Mauhanala, Bhimatikhra, Boirgaon, Teemanpur, Dhamna, Kukrar, Rawansinghi, Amlor, Piplakanhar, Bharuvamuda, Nagbel, and Od, among others. In the Devbhog block, there were earlier six high schools that had only one teacher each. These schools have now been fully staffed, ensuring proper teaching across all subjects.
In tribal areas like Mainpur and Devbhog, teachers had long been unwilling to work, weakening the education system. However, through rationalization, teachers have now been posted to villages like Kulhadighat, Nakbel, Gobra, and Sahebinakchhar as well. Before rationalization, there were 167 schools in the district with only one teacher. These schools have now been provided with additional teachers.
Under the guidance of Collector Mr. B.S. Uike, the process was successfully completed within the government’s set timeline. The appointment of teachers has brought about an educational atmosphere in the villages, and the local residents have praised this government initiative. They stated that now their children will receive a quality education in their own villages and will no longer need to travel far.
The rationalization initiative has strengthened the education system in the forest regions of Gariaband district, ensuring that no school is now without a teacher. This is a major step toward securing a bright future for the children.
