Taking pledge to exercise voting rights in all elections on National Voters’ Day

On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, voters will be administered an oath to exercise their right to vote in all elections. On the instructions of the Election Commission of India, National Voters’ Day is celebrated across the country every year on January 25. This will be the 15th National Voters’ Day. The Commission has directed the officers and employees to administer the oath at 11 am on January 24 in the states where Saturday is a holiday. Where there is no holiday on Saturday, it will be organized on January 25.
The General Administration Department of the State Government has issued a circular to the Secretaries of all Departments, the Chairman of the Revenue Board Bilaspur, all Heads of Departments, Commissioners and Collectors to comply with the instructions of the Election Commission of India. The circular directs that it should be ensured that the oath-taking program is organized for officers and employees at 11 am on January 24 on the occasion of National Voters’ Day in offices with a holiday on Saturday. On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, action will be taken to take an oath to exercise the right to vote in all elections in all government offices and educational institutions.
