Summer Season is Ideal for Construction Work, Complete Projects Swiftly – Finance Minister Choudhary

Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, during a review meeting with district-level officials in Raigarh, instructed them to complete ongoing construction works at full speed during the summer, before the onset of the rainy season. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high quality standards in the work.

The meeting took place today at the Raigarh District Collectorate meeting hall, where the Finance Minister reviewed the progress of development works, including current projects and new proposals included in the budget. Mr. Choudhary advised the officials to ensure good governance by efficiently fulfilling their responsibilities in the field and working to achieve positive results. The meeting was attended by Mayor Mr. Jeevadhan Chauhan, Collector Mr. Kartikeya Goyal, and Superintendent of Police Mr. Divyang Patel.

In the meeting, Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Choudhary inquired about the progress of road construction projects under the Public Works Department. He emphasized that quality should be the priority in road construction. He also instructed officials to raise awareness among farmers in rural areas about preventing damage to roads caused by tractor wheels and other vehicles. Mr. Choudhary reviewed the status of approved building constructions and inquired about the progress of road construction and other works by the Municipal Corporation in the city. He also advised that the available land should be used effectively when preparing building construction designs so that future expansion of the project can be accommodated, possibly through high-rise buildings instead of lateral space. He instructed officials to identify land and prepare proposals for newly approved projects. Additionally, he gathered detailed information from the officials about the progress of bridges, buildings, and other construction works.

Finance Minister Mr. Choudhary also reviewed the progress of the medical college construction. Raigarh Collector Mr. Goyal informed that the boundary demarcation and construction of the boundary wall for the medical college land had been approved and is in progress. He also inquired about the progress of other construction works. Mr. Choudhary instructed the medical college to organize regular blood donation camps to ensure adequate availability of blood units. He also reviewed the ongoing and upcoming works under the Kelon Project and instructed that all work should be completed swiftly. He also gathered information regarding the construction of the Mahatari Sadan from the Rural Engineering Department and directed that all related works should be completed as soon as possible.

In a directive to revenue officials, Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Choudhary instructed them to regularly monitor the performance of Patwaris and RIs in their respective areas. He mentioned the need to bring more efficiency to their work and asked SDMs and Tehsildars to pay special attention to this. He praised the work done in the district regarding land mapping and former registrations. Collector Mr. Goyal informed that Raigarh district is leading in the creation of Aadhar IDs and Ayushman and Vay Vandana Scheme cards for beneficiaries, and the district also ranks first in the state for the construction of PM Awas. Minister Mr. Choudhary urged all officials to take their work seriously and resolve any issues by bringing them to the attention of senior authorities. He also discussed the development of schools and the construction of health department buildings.

Permanent Water Supply Systems for Urban Local Bodies

Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Choudhary, while reviewing the works under the Jal Jeevan Mission, directed that the projects nearing completion be expedited. He instructed the Executive Engineer to provide regular updates on the progress of the work. Mr. Choudhary also directed the preparation of a work plan for establishing a permanent water supply system in Pusaur city, ensuring that people do not face difficulties in accessing water. Additionally, he instructed that appropriate arrangements for water supply be made in all urban local bodies.
