Subsidy Rates on P&K Fertilizers Approved by Central Cabinet, Farmers to Benefit: CM Sai

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Fertilizer Department to fix the Nutrient-Based Subsidy (NBS) rates on Phosphatic and Potassic (P&K) fertilizers for the Kharif season, from April to September 2025. This approval exceeds the budgetary requirement for the Rabi season 2024-25 by approximately ₹13,000 crore. This decision will ensure the availability of subsidized, affordable, and reasonably priced fertilizers for farmers. Additionally, the subsidy on P&K fertilizers will be rationalized.
Chief Minister Shri Sai described this as a result of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s farmer-friendly vision and stated that this decision is a step forward in making the country self-reliant in agriculture. This decision will directly benefit millions of farmers across the country, including those in Chhattisgarh.
