Students Will Make Their Universities Proud “Provide Students with High-Quality Education” – Higher Education Minister

Higher Education Minister Mr. Tankram Verma has stated that the universities of Chhattisgarh must provide high-quality education to their students so that they can establish their identity on national and international platforms and bring honor and recognition to their universities.

Mr. Verma was addressing a high-level meeting of Vice-Chancellors of all state-run universities held today at the Mahanadi Bhawan Ministry. Dr. S. Bharathidasan, Secretary of the Higher Education Department, along with other senior officials of the department, was also present at the meeting.

The Minister emphasized that dropouts in universities and affiliated colleges must be prevented. He stressed the need for universities to closely monitor students and provide every possible support to help them continue their education. He also instructed Vice-Chancellors to schedule examination timetables in advance so that exams can be conducted on time.

The meeting included discussions on undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs. Mr. Verma urged universities to introduce courses in international languages and to advance new academic programs. Information was presented regarding the status of academic and non-academic positions, sanctioned posts, faculty in service, and the range of academic programs offered.

During the meeting, Higher Education Secretary Dr. S. Bharathidasan informed that all academic programs will be designed in accordance with UGC guidelines and the National Education Policy (NEP). Vice-Chancellors also made presentations about the current status of their universities and affiliated colleges.

All Vice-Chancellors of state universities and senior officials from the Higher Education Department were present at this important gathering.
