Strict Action Against Negligence in Implementing Government Schemes: Rajwade

Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade conducted a detailed review of the Women and Child Development Department’s work at the Ministry’s Mahanadi Bhavan.
She has directed strict action against officials found negligent in implementing government schemes. She also directed that the difference in salary be deducted from the salaries of officials who have not ensured 100% entry in the nutrition tracker.
Rajwade instructed the officials to conduct regular surprise inspections of Anganwadi centers. She also directed to regularly check the quality of nutritional food and other facilities provided to beneficiaries. During the meeting, departmental officials provided information about departmental programs and schemes through a PowerPoint presentation.
Rajwade, while giving instructions to effectively implement integrated child development services on the ground, said that beneficiaries should be provided benefits from other government welfare schemes in a planned manner. Effective initiatives should be taken to create awareness among the people to make these services result-oriented, as well as to improve the quality and expansion of services. The Minister directed the officials to ensure that all beneficiaries benefit from the Women and Child Development Department’s Mahatari Vandana Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana, Ready-to-Eat, Noni Suraksha Yojana, Shuchita Yojana, Bal Sandarbh, Niyad Nella Nar, and Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana.
She directed that the bank accounts of all eligible beneficiaries of the Mahatari Vandana Yojana be linked with Aadhaar cards. Such beneficiaries who have died should be identified and their applications canceled. She asked for regular health check-ups, vaccinations, and weighing of pregnant, lactating mothers, children, and adolescent girls. She also directed to discharge their responsibilities with sensitivity to make pre-school early childhood education, supplementary nutrition, and nutrition and health education result-oriented.
Rajwade said that it should be ensured that the right beneficiaries benefit from the Chief Minister’s Kanya Vivah Yojana. Applications should be received and verified by the officers so that the actual person benefits.
Instructions to open and close Anganwadis on time and conduct surprise inspections
Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade directed to ensure 100% entry on the nutrition tracker. She said that all Anganwadis should be opened and closed on time. All supervisors should conduct regular surprise inspections of Anganwadis.
She directed to create nutrition gardens in all Anganwadis and plant green vegetables and fruit trees. She asked to prove the success of the scheme by benefiting poor and needy women under the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana. In the meeting, instructions were given to benefit more and more women under the awareness camp, the direction guidance scheme. In addition, recruitment to vacant posts of Anganwadi workers and Anganwadi helpers, approval for the construction of Anganwadi center buildings, and review of ongoing and ongoing buildings, including Mission Vatsalya, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, were also done.
The meeting was also attended by the department’s secretary Smt. Shammi Abidi, director Shri Janmejaya Mahobhe, and officials from the directorate and district level.
