Statewide Good Governance Festival ‘Susashan Tihar’: Over 300,000 Applications Received in Three Days

Raipur, April 10

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Good Governance Festival (Su-Shasan Tihar) is ongoing across villages and cities to directly engage with citizens and address their concerns. Applications from the public will be accepted until April 11. In the first phase of this initiative, over 318,000 applications were received within three days. Of these, 289,648 are related to various demands, while only 19,375 are complaint-related.

It is notable that the Good Governance Festival is being organized in three phases. In the first phase, from April 8 to April 11, applications are being collected directly at the offices of gram panchayats and urban local bodies. Citizens are submitting applications related to their issues and demands through online portals, local camps, and physical grievance boxes placed in their respective districts.

To assist people in submitting their applications, officers and staff have been deployed at the offices of gram panchayats and urban bodies. Online portals and Common Service Centers (CSCs) have also been set up to facilitate digital submissions. Grievance boxes are available at development blocks and district headquarters, where citizens can drop off their applications regarding various issues.

The Chhattisgarh State Government is continuously striving for good governance and transparency. As part of this effort, Good Governance Festival 2025 is a significant initiative. All applications received during this campaign will be entered into a centralized software system and forwarded to the respective departments for resolution within one month.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the aim of Good Governance Festival 2025 is to ensure prompt and effective solutions to public issues, promote transparency in government operations, and establish direct communication with the public. He has already instructed all district collectors to ensure the smooth execution of the campaign and the prompt resolution of received applications. The resolution progress and quality will also be reviewed at both state and district levels.

In the third phase of the festival, resolution camps will be organized in 8 to 15 gram panchayats in each district. Urban bodies will also conduct such camps as needed. In these camps, citizens will be informed about the status of their applications, and wherever possible, on-the-spot resolutions will be provided. Remaining issues will be resolved within a month, and updates will be communicated to the applicants.

Additionally, these camps will disseminate information about welfare schemes, and application forms for beneficiary-oriented schemes will be made available. The active participation of MPs, MLAs, and other public representatives is being ensured in this campaign. The Chief Minister, ministers, Chief Secretary, departmental secretaries, and senior officials will personally attend the camps to interact with the public, gather feedback on development initiatives, and conduct surprise inspections to assess the real status and quality of ongoing construction projects.
