Uttarakhand Assembly has passed the Vote-on-Account of 16,048(point)74 crore rupees to meet government expenditure for the first four months of the next financial year.
In another development in the Assembly, Uttarakhand Lokayukta Bill-2017 was referred to the Select Committee as demanded by the opposition after discussion on the Bill. The committee will submit its report within a month. The ruling BJP had promised in its election manifesto that it will frame a stringent Lokayukta Act to root out corruption in the state.
