In Uttar Pradesh, at least three passengers were killed and eight others were injured in a train accident in Chitrakoot district this early morning. The condition of two injured persons is reported to serious.
District Police Chief Pratap Gopendra informed media that accident happened when 13 bogies of Patna bound train derailed at Manikpur railway station under Allahabad Rail Division of the Northern Central Railway.
He said injured have been admitted at the Community Health Centre Manikpur and district hospital in Chitrakoot. Train traffic has been disrupted on the Mughalsarai- Manikpur rail route. Senior railway officials have reached on the spot. Accident Relief Train has also reached from Allahabad
