
The ‘Global Mining and Mineral Summit’, called Mining Show 2017, has been inaugurated by Union Minister for Railway and Coal, Piyush Goel and Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghubar Das.
As per information received, many industries’ representatives from public and private sectors are taking part in the Show.
Speaking on this occasion, Union Minister Piyush Goel said that Jharkhand provides nine percent of the total mineral resources of the country. He commended the work of Chief Minister in containing Maoists threats and Railway will now able to increase the reach and speed of it’s construction in remote areas of the state.
He also said that Railway has increased the investment in the state by four times. He said in 2017-18, Railway will be investing 3850 crore rupees in Jharkhand.
During this three-days show auctioning of 23 mines are to take place. The show is being jointly organised by the government of Jharkhand and Confederation of Indian Industries -CII.
