SER joins Jan Andolan: A Mass Campaign (Jan Andolan) was launched all over South Eastern Railway (SER) to ensure that the Railway Employees and travelling passengers adhere to Covid-19 norms during the forthcoming festive season.

This Jan Andolan for Covid-19 Appropriate Behaviour has been launched by the Prime Minister through tweet today, as per a press release.

SER employees took pledge to fight against Covid-19 by following all the hygiene protocols like wearing masks, frequent washing of hands with soap, and maintaining a safe distance of 6 feet. SER general manager Sanjay Kumar Mohanty, additional general manager Anupam Sharma,principal head of different departments and a large number of SER employees participated in the virtual oath taking ceremony.

SER joins Jan Andolan: The main objective of organising the campaign is to create consciousness among railway people and travelling public to combat Covid-19 and stay protected from CoronaVirus. Posters and Banners have been displayed all over SER’s jurisdiction to create awareness about Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, added the press release.

A concerted action plan like spreading of messages to reach every Railway Men and Passengers, putting off of banners and posters at prominent railway areas, frequent announcement about maintaining physical distancing, wearing face mask in public places, constant washing of hands and using of sanitiser, coordination of media campaign, deployment of Scouts & Guides to spread the core messages, involvement of local important personage, NGOs and other charitable organisation are to implemented in four divisions of SER,mentioned the press release.
