Mrs. Johari- presently working as Head of Gujarat Police Housing Corporation will become the first woman Director General of Police of Gujarat. She will retire in November 2017.

The decision of the appointment of Geeta Johari has been taken after series of high level meeting presided by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in Gandhinagar.
