In Gujarat, scrutiny of nomination papers for the first phase of Assembly elections will be taken up today. The filing of nominations ended last evening. A total 1703 candidates have filed their papers for this phase of polling.
The last date of withdrawal is Friday. The polling will be held in 89 Assembly constituencies of Kutch, Saurashtra and South Gujarat on 9th December in this first phase.
