Information Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu observed that from early days different professions being practiced in the country were linked to castes and communities which is a big folly and anybody can excel in any of the chosen field provided they are bright and intelligent and sharpen their skills necessary for it.
Speaking after inaugurating Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Skill Development Centre, at Swarna Bharat Trust, at Atkur, Vijayawada, in Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Naidu said, anyone can taste success provided they receive proper orientation and training and have the right attitude in any skill related field. He said this will also erase the ill effects of the caste system on our society.
The Union Minister emphasized that there is a need to identify the talent and skill of a person in his selected profession and should not be linked with the caste or community he or she hails from. Therefore, he said, the Centre is promoting among the people through Skill Development Centres, sharpening of their in-born talents so that they progress and taste success.
The Muppavarapu Foundation under the newly formed Knowledge Centre in Atkur is offering Science, Mathematics and Computer Laboratory facilities freely to students of Municipal and Zilla Parishad Schools where the provision of laboratories are not there, so that the students from these schools can excel in their basic science studies and gain knowledge for further development.
