In Maharashtra, Amhednagar district court has awarded death sentence to three accused involved in the 2014 Loni Mavala gangrape and murder case.
District court judge Suvarna Kewle yesterday sentenced Santosh Lonkar, Mangesh Lonkar and Datta Shinde death penatly in the gangrape and murder of the minor girl. The parents of the victim said that justice is delivered to them and thanked the authorities for prompt action.
On 22nd August 2014, a ninth standard student was gangraped and murdered by the culprits, while she was going to meet her grandfather.
