Madhya Pradesh : Group of farmers postponed their ongoing strike

In Madhya Pradesh, a group of farmers postponed their ongoing strike while other faction said that strike will continue. A faction decided to postpone the strike after a meeting with the chief minister.

Farmers in several parts of the state were on strike from first of this month. Their demands include right prices for their produces. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has welcomed the postponement of the agitation. He said the state government is with the farmers. Mr. Chouhan said that the government will buy onion on eight rupees per kilogram.
