Pressing the demand of government job in the state, hundreds of National Cadets Corps (NCC) cadets on Saturday staged demonstration in the state capital.
Hundreds of cadets were demanding Jharkhand state level jobs on the lines of central government jobs fixed for their category. They took it to streets on Saturday wherein around 600 cadets protested in the state capital.
“We are exempted from written examinations of various union level recruitment examinations like CDS and NDA after obtaining ‘C’ certificate. However, it is almost vice-versa in Jharkhand and other states except Odisha wherein NCC cadets enjoy benefits in the Youth Exchange Programme,” said cadet Jayesh Kumar.
He further added that the budding Indian Armed Forces’ aspirants propose a relaxation of two years in the different jobs under state government, from the central government fixed age of 21 years. Also, they should be exempted from the recruitment based examinations for the perfume of Sub Inspector.
Sources informed Indian Armed Forces personnel training these cadets in colleges and universities here skipped the protest but had given moral support off the record.
Kumar pointed on the recent held demonstrations at New Delhi and Bihar regarding the same issues in their respective states.
Meanwhile, another cadet Sachin said, “We want to serve our motherland Jharkhand with the respect we deserve owning. Special reservation should given to ‘C’ certificate holder in all state government jobs like Jharkhand Public Service Commission.”
Speaking more, Sachin maintained that as government is providing allowances to unemployed graduates and post-graduate, so cadets pursuing NCC in all three wings referring Army, Air Force and Navy should be given allowances to compensate necessity of three years of NCC training period.
Sources said that one of the officials under Governor Draupadi Murmu’s has assured to resolve the matter at the earliest.
