As many as 50 students of Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), Amity University Jharkhand (AUJ) with seven faculty members visited the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering (CIPET) as part of industrial exposure on Tuesday.
The introduction of CIPET was given by CIPET Director Pravin Bachhav and Senior Technical Officer B Sirkar. Bachhav encouraged the students from Mechanical and Automation, Electronics and Communication, Bio-Tech, and Civil Engineering backgrounds towards the research and development in the field of Plastic technology and shared various opportunities to work in collaboration with CIPET Ranchi.
Dr Pravin Kumar Singh, Program Leader, Department of Mechanical & Automation Engineering, AUJ informed that the main motto of the visit was to understand the process planning of plastic engineering process.
“Students got the opportunity to see and learn about the working principles of CNC Machines, Conventional Machining operations, the Injection or Centrifugal Casting process, and various automated machines including the measurement and testing machines,” he added.
