Special Olympics Bharat (SOB) Jharkhand today launched the CORN HOLE (Baggo) game, highly popular in the USA, Canada and Europe for Special Athletes of the state. Bailey Bodhanwala Area Director, SOB Jharkhand, MD Tarapore Group of companies, inaugurated the game by putting the pack in the Corn Hole Board.
Speaking on the occasion he said that SOB Jharkhand is working for a special section of our society and adding new facilities for the development of our athletes. The Game was demonstrated and rules were briefed by Satbir Singh Sahota, Assistant Area Director SOB Jharkhand.
Notably, it has been categorized in Developmental Sports for persons with intellectual disability. Later on demonstration was given to all the special athletes, parents and other dignitaries present Game is played between two or four special athletes and can also be played with unified partners ( Two Special athletes + two normal athletes). The game is developed to improve the coordination of special athletes and also provide fun in playing Webinar conducted by SOB in January 2021, wherein rules and regulations were explained for BAGGO. The webinar was attended by more than 125 persons consisting of coaches, officials and athletes of Special Olympics Bharat from across the country. Area Director informed that Team SOB Jharkhand will implement Corn Hole (BAGGO) in other districts of Jharkhand once the situation improves and schools reopen. Lina Adhesara, Principal Gayanuday Nobel Academy, and Senior officials of Local SOB Jharkhand committee were also present here.
