The Amity Centre for Industry-Academia Collaborations Jharkhand (ACIACJ) was inaugurated at Amity University Jharkhand on Thursday to strengthen the industry interface and make the industry a stakeholder in the academic delivery process as well as to find out the gaps between the need of the industry and the quality of resources (students) produced by the university.

Highlighting the constitution of the centre, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Srivastava, Acting Pro-Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand said, “We should join hands to place students in the large industry. Any academic institution will sustain itself if the in and out activities are focused on a systematic manner. Many institutions have started but their concept is restricted only to internship.”

He further added that other components apart from internship also decide the minimum requirements of industry.

“With a brainstorming activity, this initiative is undertaken. These cover only 40% of the institution, rest 60% are for outreach in market and NIRF. This is where internship can also be entertained, and advisory committee is formulated so that academic is strengthened,” he mentioned.

He emphasized on creating environment where the existing pedagogy align with the new ones.

The centre is divided into Collaboration Relationship, Advisory, Internship and Events.

Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Dean (Academics), Amity University Jharkhand informed how internship and class attendance can be managed simultaneously under this collaboration. “Any institute of Amity University Jharkhand must not confine the internship to its place but rather see that the collaboration benefits the university as a whole,” he quoted.
