
The Indian Air Force’s ‘Bambi Bucket’ operation will resume today, on fourth consecutive day, to douse the wildfire in Mount Abu.
A Defence spokesperson said, the two MI-17 V5 helicopters of the IAF flew a total of 64 shuttles yesterday, pouring over 1,95,500 litres of water to douse the raging forest fires. The spokesperson added, the Army also assisted to douse the fire, especially in critical areas of Chipa Beri and Sat Ghum along Mt Abu.
IAF has so far flown a total of 144 shuttles with Bambi buckets dropping around 4,00,000 litres of water at various locations to douse the blaze in Mount Abu.
