In Jammu & Kashmir, security forces in a joint operation arrested Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Aadil Ahmad from Bijbehara area of Anantnag on Wednesday. Aadil was wanted in several cases of attacks on security forces and local panchayat officials. His arrest comes six days after the killing of Lashkar-e-Taiba leader Abu Ismail and his associate in an encounter with security forces in Nowgam in Anantnag.
