Himachal Pradesh: Most constituencies to witness multi cornered contest in assembly elections

Most of the constituencies in Himachal Pradesh are likely to witness multi cornered contest in assembly elections after completion of scrutiny of nominations yesterday.
Tomorrow is the last date of withdrawal. The polling will be held on 9th November in single phase. AIR correspondent reports that in Arki constituency of Solan district from where Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh is contesting, four candidates including BJP’s Ratan Singh Pal are in the fray.

Similarly, in Sujanpur assembly segment five candidates including former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal of BJP and Rajinder Rana of congress are contesting election. In Dharmshala segment of Kangra district the number of candidate is 13 which is maximum in the state.

Tomorrow is the last date of withdrawal so the leaders of both ruling congress and opposition BJP have been active on war foot to pacify the rebel candidates.
