
In Himachal Pradesh, the state assembly today passed the annual budget of 35,783 Crore rupees for 2017-18. The appropriation Bill authorizing the state government to spend Rs 3,79,39.97 crore from consolidated fund was also passed.
This budget was presented in Vidhan Sabha by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, who also holds the finance portfolio on March 10. The house discussed the demands in respect of Irrigation and Public health and Urban Development and Housing while remaining demands were passed without discussion after the Speaker applied guillotine at 4.00 PM.
