
Heavy rain, hail storms and thundershowers disrupted normal life in several North Eastern states since the last three days. The incessant rain also triggered landslides in various places, besides pulling down houses, uprooting trees, and destroyed vegetable crops.
However, Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority informed that no human casualties were reported as a result of the sudden eruption of the stormy winds. Electricity network have been disrupted in many places.
Meanwhile, the Regional Metrological Centre, Guwahati in its forecast informed that heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at a few places with extremely heavy fall at isolated places in parts of Nagaland and in places over Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, and Tripura in the next two days.
