Heat wave conditions threw life out of gear in majority towns in Odisha. Western Odisha town of Titlagarh today recorded the highest temperature in the country with 44.4 degree Celsius. Private weather forecaster Skymet said Chandrapur in Maharashtra almost equaling Titlagarh Titlagarh remained the hottest place in India at 44.4 degree Celsius.
Yesterday, another Western Odisha town Bolangir remained the hottest place in the country with 44.2 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, the Bhubaneswar MeT office today predicted nor’wester rains in coastal and central pockets of Odisha in next 24 hours.
The thundersquall accompanied by hail/rain with wind speed of 45-55 kilometre is likely to occur in coastal districts of Odisha including Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak and adjoining districts of Kalahandi, Rayagada, and Kandhamal.
