In Gujarat, people get some respite after last week’s severe heat wave conditions following drop in temperature. However day temperatures in many areas remained above the normal.
After the last week’s severe heat wave conditions, there is some respite from roasting temperatures in Kutch and Saurashtra. Ahmedabad city, which had experienced above 44 degree Celsius temperature last week, is now settled at 41 degree Celsius.
However, Rajkot, Surendranagar and Deesa are still remained hottest in the state with temperature above 42 degree Celsius. According to local weather office; decline in temperature is mainly due to south-westerly winds prevailing over the Gujarat region, which makes evening more pleasant.
