Gas cylinder explosion: Death toll rises to seven in Bengaluru

The death toll in gas cylinder explosion that had brought down a two-storey building in Bengaluru early morning today has reached seven.

The body of pregnant women was retrieved from under the debris. The fire and emergency services personnel have informed that around 6.30 am the explosion took place. The number of injured has also increased from six to seven. The rescue team has cleared the debris of the building and rescued three people trapped in the building.

The state Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy has announced five lakh rupees compensation to the kin of deceased and 50 thousand rupees to those injured in the accident.
