Delhi Police Commissioner Patnaik holds interstate co-ordination meeting with officers of other states

Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik held an interstate co-ordination meeting with senior officers of other states yesterday to address various issues related to policing in the National Capital Region, especially in view of the forthcoming Republic Day Function.

The main objective of the meeting was to share terror-related intelligence and inputs about various extremist outfits and their designs.

Senior officers of Delhi Police and their counterparts from various states, including Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the officers shared intelligence to check crimes committed by inter-state criminals and organised gangs of auto-lifters.

Issues of drug trafficking, human trafficking, the proliferation of fake Indian currency notes, smuggling of illicit firearms among others were also discussed.
