Cold conditions prevail in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, mercury continued its downward spiral in most parts of Kashmir region, while Leh in Ladakh region was the coldest recorded place with a low of minus 6.7 degrees Celsius.

The famous ski-resort Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 6.2 degrees Celsius, while it was 4.6 degrees Celsius the previous night. Gulmarg had witnessed snowfall on Saturday. Srinagar recorded a low of 0.3 degrees Celsius.

The weatherman has forecast mainly dry weather over the next few days in the Valley, but predicted further drop in night temperatures.
