
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will take stock of drought condition in the State through a video conference with the officials tomorrow. In the video conference to be held at his official residence in Bengaluru, the Chief Minister will seek details from District Deputy Commissioners about drought situation, steps taken to ensure supply of drinking water, supply of fodder to the live stocks and implementation of employment guarantee scheme to prevent migration in search of jobs.
The Chief Minister, who had given instruction to take up drought relief works at war footing in the affected areas, will seek details about implementation of his direction.
He had also warned about holding concerned officials responsible for failure to solve the problem. Mr Siddaramaiah will also seek details about money allocated for drought relief works and spent in each Districts.
