BJP President Amit Shah will attend the Bhumi Pujan or foundation laying ceremony of cancer care centre at Guwahati in Assam on Monday.
Assam Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that 19 cancer care centres will be set up in the state. Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal and industrialist Ratan Tata will also attend the foundation laying ceremony.
These hospitals will be set up under Assam Cancer Care Foundation which is a joint initiative of Assam government and Tata Trust. Later in the day, Mr. Shah is expected to meet party leaders in Guwahati.
